You don’t need to wander far from our campsite to find an interesting location; Ilfracombe is packed with sights to see, shops and restaurants. A stay with us means you’re ideally situated to enjoy a day trip to the magnificent Lundy Island, as you can catch a boat there from Ilfracombe. For a tiny island Lundy has an intriguing history and amazing wildlife, being home to seals and the iconic puffin. There’s also a pub serving food and drinks, as well as a shop.
Head to Woolacombe Beach and you’ll soon see why it’s been crowned top beach in the UK by TripAdvisor. A three mile stretch of white sands backed by dunes means there’s lots of space for games, sandcastle building, races down the dunes, or simply sunbathing. It’s also blessed with great surf, great if you and your family like to surf or take part in other watersports.
We’re lucky to be based near to this stunning national park, and encourage walkers to book a stay at our accommodation. Get lost on the hundreds of miles worth of footpaths here, which take you through some beautifully varied moorland and countryside. Look out for the Exmoor ponies!
Barnstaple is North Devon’s largest town. If you’re looking to do a spot of shopping, take a trip into the town centre, where you’ll find well-known high street names alongside independent retailers of all kinds.
