We are a family run farm, with many breeds of livestock, some of them being unusual or rare breeds.
We have a small herd of Dexter cows, which provide us with meat. These are friendly, small black cows, and we usually buy a couple of calves each spring.

At the moment we have 30 Breeding ewes, two rams and some of last years lambs. We have mainly Poll Dorset sheep, a white sheep without horns, or Poll Dorset / Texel crossed. These lamb throughout the Winter and early Spring.

Throughout the year we raise pigs to supply the farm with bacon and sausages, for the Bed and Breakfast and campers. We have kept various breeds, and there should hopefully always be some to see here.
We currently have about 250 chicken and 100 ducks, which all provide us with eggs, which are again available from the farmhouse. There are various breeds including Khaki Campbell, Muscovy and Aylesbury Ducks, and Warrens, Light Sussex, and Black Rock hens, for laying birds and Ross Cobb for eating birds. In the orchard our four Ebden geese roam.
The poultry have livestock guardians living with them in the form of our four Alpacas. These originated from South America, and have incredibly soft fleece. They are very good at chasing away the fox when he comes for a visit, and are in addition to the electric poultry net.

We try and keep the farm as child friendly as we can, as we have children too, but we do ask that visiting children are supervised and dogs are kept on leads. The animals are not pets, and although they are quite friendly, they are not petting zoo animals and will proberbly run away from you, if you try and stroke them. The exception to this will be Storm, Brecon and Sampson, the three horses in the bottem paddock, who love lots of attention.
Can we finally remind people that the animals are livestock, and must not be fed under any circumstances.
